SALEM - Secretary of State Bill Bradbury is pleased to announce that the new Web version of the Oregon Blue Book is now available!

The Oregon Blue Book is the state's official fact book and almanac. It contains listings and functional descriptions of government agencies and educational institutions. It also includes an almanac, maps, facts about Oregon history and elections, as well as information about the arts, media, and other cultural institutions in Oregon. The Web version is updated regularly as new information becomes available.

In addition to new descriptions and thousands of Web and e-mail links for state agencies, counties, cities, and other entities, the new Blue Book features clear and concise analysis of Oregon's economy and government finance. For those who are interested in gaining access to government services, the Oregon Topics section provides subject-based Web links to popular topics such as the environment, legal research, and health care.

The Blue Book also offers a wealth of cultural resources, including a new exhibit of memorabilia celebrating the centennial of the 1905 Lewis and Clark Expedition. The updated Notable Oregonians Guide provides biographical sketches of over 50 individuals who have distinguished themselves in various pursuits. And the colorful Capitol tour has been enhanced with new images. These are just a few of the features that will prove very useful for students and others interested in Oregon history.
