16th annual Brews, Blues, and BBQ in Stevenson, Washington

Mark your calendars now because summer will be here before you know it!  The 16th Annual Brews, Blues and BBQs lies just around the corner on Saturday, June 27, 2009.  The traditional rollicking opening of the summer season in Stevenson, this blast draws fans from across the Northwest to Teo Park right on the Columbia River.  With views of the water, the mountains rising abruptly across the river, the setting becomes as much a part of the day as the music, the beer and the food. 

This year’s event will expand later in the evening with the gates open at noon and live music continuing until 10:00 p.m.  The musical talent includes Tess Barr Blues Band, The Strangetones and Too Slim and the Traildraggers.  In between each band, the mic will be open for local musicians.  More...

Hood River, Oregon - Brewers know the best way to celebrate is to brew a special beer, so to honor American Craft Beer Week (May 11 -17), Full Sail Brewing Company will release a new beer in their "Brewer's Share" line up.  This special beer, "Chris's Summer D-lite," is a Berliner Weiss and was developed by Full Sail Brewer, Chris Haveman.

The Chick-fil-A Kyle Petty Charity Ride Across America has announced the coast-to-coast route for its 15th annual motorcycle ride, to take place May 8 – 17, 2009.  NASCAR driver and Charity Ride founder Kyle Petty will lead a field of more than 120 riders as they wind their way from the Pacific Northwest to the East Coast in an effort to raise awareness of and funds for Victory Junction and other children’s charities.
